# Why do I have to pay for a restocking fee on my return?
## Restocking fees on larger items cover the cost to process, inspect, and restock returns, including any fees from suppliers or manufacturers.
Restocking fees may seem frustrating, but they help us ensure that every return is handled properly and efficiently. Larger items require a full team to **process the return, clean each item, inspect for damage, and restock it in our inventory**. This careful process protects both our customers and our suppliers, making sure that returned products remain in excellent condition for future use.
When a return goes back to the **supplier or manufacturer**, restocking fees may also be applied by them. These fees cover their own cleaning, inspection, and restocking costs, which helps maintain quality standards across the board.
