# International Orders: Understanding customs, duties, and additional fees
## International customers are responsible for any customs fees, duties, or taxes, and should research local requirements before ordering.
If you’re placing an order from outside the United States, it’s important to understand that **any VAT, tariffs, duties, taxes, handling fees, or customs clearance charges** required by your country are the responsibility of the buyer. We do not collect these fees in advance and cannot provide estimates, as costs vary widely depending on the country and type of goods being imported.
To avoid surprises, we strongly recommend that international customers **research local customs regulations and fees** before placing an order. Contact your local postal service or customs office if you are unsure about import charges or procedures. Being informed ahead of time ensures a smoother delivery process and helps you anticipate any additional costs.
Please note that if customs fees or charges are **refused at the time of delivery**, the shipment will be returned, and shipping costs will **not be refunded**. Understanding your responsibilities as an international buyer will help ensure your order reaches you without unexpected complications.
