# How can I tell if my tires are directional and properly mounted?
## Directional tires have a rotation arrow on the sidewall to indicate the correct mounting direction.
Directional tires have a **rotation arrow** printed on the sidewall. This arrow shows the correct direction the tire should spin when the vehicle is moving forward. Properly mounting the tire according to this arrow ensures optimal performance, handling, and tire wear.
Always check the arrow before installation to make sure your directional tires are mounted correctly.
